About the role
As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role by stepping into various classrooms to deliver engaging lessons in the absence of full-time educators. Your expertise in cosmetology will enrich the students' learning experience and help maintain a positive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans effectively, adapting to meet the needs of students
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations of cosmetology techniques
- Provide feedback and assessment on student performance
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure continuity in education
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and classroom management protocols
Requirements
- A valid Educator License in the State of Illinois is required
- Prior experience in cosmetology/esthetics or a related field a plus
- Teaching experience or experience working with students is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is between $19.00 and $22.00/hr. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
