Cosmetology Instructor

Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Cosmetology Instructor to support the continued growth of our student body. This role is responsible for educating, mentoring, and inspiring future beauty professionals while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. Candidates with salon industry experience are preferred, and an active Cosmetology Instructor License is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction & Student Development
• Deliver technical and theoretical instruction tailored to individual learning styles.
• Help students understand and apply cosmetology concepts and techniques.
• Create and maintain a positive, professional learning environment.
• Monitor student performance and uphold educational standards.
• Enforce student conduct and behavioral expectations.
• Mentorship & Coaching
• Guide students in attendance, personal development, professional growth, and program retention.
• Support students in achieving educational and business goals.
• Provide mentorship and assistance with personal and academic challenges.
• Guest Services & Operations
• Ensure guest services are delivered according to educational standards and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
• Promote a culture of professionalism and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Active Cosmetology Instructor License required.
• Salon industry experience preferred.
• Previous teaching experience in a cosmetology school is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with professional beauty products, services, and curriculum is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation and customer service abilities.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to serve as a positive role model.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
• Reliable transportation or ability to relocate to Boise, ID prior to employment.
• Polished and professional appearance.
