About the role
Responsible for performing high-quality haircuts, blowouts, updos, and chemical services while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Cosmetologists may also perform manicure, pedicure, and skincare services, depending on operational needs and skillset. This role requires maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment in accordance with departmental standards, while providing outstanding customer service to all guests.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
- Ensure exceptional guest experience by delivering consistent, high-quality treatments while staying informed of current spa trends and techniques
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of spa and salon services, treatments, and products
- Oversee the daily appointment calendar and ensure the schedule flows seamlessly throughout the day
- Uphold all setup, shutdown, safety, and sanitation protocols for workstations and treatment areas
- Handle guest questions, concerns, and feedback professionally and promptly
- Review and monitor schedule updates throughout each shift
- Escort and attend to guests promptly for all scheduled services
- Communicate service upgrades, modifications, or changes to the Spa Coordinator
- Properly care for and maintain equipment, tools, and products used during services
- Participate in inventory counts and inventory management activities
- Stock and organize professional supplies in dispensaries and work areas
- Report any service-related issues immediately to management
- Assist as a Spa Attendant when operational needs require
- Report lost or stolen items immediately following company procedures
- Transport soiled linens to designated collection bins
- Maintain a meticulous and professional appearance at all times
Qualifications
- Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be willing to participate in on-going training
- Maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions
- Must have the ability to grow clientele and suggest retail
- Must be able to work independently, in a team setting with minimal supervision
- Must obtain a current Mississippi Cosmetology License recognized by the state and the local governing board
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Must present a well-groomed appearance
- Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements
- Show appreciation for various ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership
