About the role

The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is seeking a Cosmetologist to join its team. This role requires a passion for excellence and a positive attitude towards creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Provide professional hair and nail services, including blowouts, haircuts, color services, updos, bridal and special-event styling, manicures, and pedicures, in accordance with accepted industry practices and established protocols.
• Perform all treatments with skill, proficiency, and a warm, pleasant demeanor while starting appointments on time and completing services within scheduled timeframes.
• Deliver personalized, gracious, and professional service that is attentive and responsive to each guest’s individual preferences and needs.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness by properly cleaning and sanitizing all salon areas in compliance with state board regulations and property guidelines.
• Educate guests on proper hair and nail care, recommend appropriate products, and promote retail offerings while following product usage and inventory control standards.
• Uphold a clean, organized, and welcoming spa environment and actively promote all services, products, and programs of Four Seasons Resort Lāna‘i.

Requirements

• Work authorization required in the United States.
• Hawaii State Cosmetology License required for this role (CPR Certification as required for licensing).
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts.
• Prior experience working as a hairstylist and nail technician in the hospitality industry or in a high-end salon environment.

• Compliance with Four Seasons standards, policies, and licensing requirements.
• Knowledge of proper hair and nail care, and ability to recommend appropriate products.
• Experience promoting spa services, products, and programs.
