About the role
The Gas Technician will be involved in various aspects of natural gas distribution projects, assisting in tasks while working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. As a Pipefitter, you will play a vital role in piping residential and commercial natural gas services, securing the flow from meter to existing fuel lines, and ensuring the safe operation of customer appliances.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and efficiently while performing daily assigned tasks.
- Work in and around natural gas distribution job sites, including public right of ways, private property, commercial, and residential properties.
- Ensure company equipment and materials are maintained, kept clean, and stored safely.
- Follow instructions and guidelines.
- Operate a backhoe or smaller type of equipment as required.
Requirements
- Ability to pass Operator Qualification Testing for Natural Gas work.
- Valid Driver’s License and/or CDL preferred.
- Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, with flexible hours inclusive of weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Vocational training in a closely related field (preferred).
- 2–4 years of Construction Laborer experience (preferred).
- Mechanically inclined.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $22.00–$30.00 per hour, subject to prevailing wage. Actual pay will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
