About the role
As a Gas Technician (Pipefitter), you will play a vital role in piping residential and commercial natural gas services, securing the flow from meter to existing fuel lines, and ensuring the safe operation of customer appliances. You will be involved in various aspects of natural gas distribution projects, working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and efficiently while performing daily assigned tasks on natural gas distribution job sites, including public right-of-ways, private property, commercial, and residential properties.
- Maintain, clean, and store company equipment and materials safely.
- Follow instructions and guidelines accurately.
- Operate a backhoe or smaller equipment as required.
Requirements
- Ability to pass Operator Qualification Testing for Natural Gas work.
- Valid Driver’s License and/or CDL preferred.
- Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, with flexible hours inclusive of weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Vocational training in a closely related field (preferred).
- 2–4 years of Construction Laborer experience (preferred).
- Mechanically inclined.
- Previous natural gas construction experience (preferred but not required).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $22.00–$30.00 per hour, subject to prevailing wage. This range represents expected hourly compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
