Automotive Fleet Technician - Buffalo, NY

About the role

Servicing delivery vans and DOT vehicles for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site.
Perform line technician services such as oil changes and tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, and tire installation.
Advanced repairs and state inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on delivery vans and DOT vehicles.
• Provide line technician services including oil changes, tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out advanced repairs and state inspections.
• Participate in training for this role, which may take place in a customer retail environment prior to working on the client site.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience performing qualified DOT regulated inspections, preventative maintenance, and brake related services.
• Must have DOT Brake Certification, or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet DOT physical requirements, including being at least 21 years of age.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• ASE Certification (s) are preferred.
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests, electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience is preferred.

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle systems.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Pay

$27–$31/hr + $1 Shift Pay
Weekly Pay
Compensation: $56,160–$64,480 annually based on a 40-hour workweek and excluding overtime, shift differentials, and benefits.

Schedule

Shift Options:- 4-Day Work Week: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
5-Day Work Week: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
