Corrugator Utility 3rd Shift

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Utility Operator with converting experience to join our team at Menasha Packaging. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in paper production, specifically in converting processes. Experience with flatbed and die-cut operations is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Uptime Champion: Participate in maintenance and troubleshooting activities to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
• CIMMS Champion: Ability to troubleshoot and ensure smooth operation of CIMMS WIP Storage system running in automatic.
• WIP Storage System: Ensure stock is flowing to machine centers without interruption, identify all stock on WIP storage lines, ensure all materials necessary for efficient set up and production orders are available (minimum 3 orders ahead), assist with Make Ready and Set Up activities on assigned assets.
• Level 2 Operator: Operate at a minimum of LEVEL 2 operator, collaborate with team members to ensure production goals and quality standards are met consistently, assist with the training of new operators and assistant operators.
• Safety Champion: Active participant in Safety Snag program, active participant in Safety Committee, monitor raw materials and supply inventory on a weekly basis, document production data and maintain accurate records of machine performance and output, participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in paper converting processes.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience as a Level 2 Operator or in a similar role within a paper plant, specifically in converting processes desired.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
