Corrugator Stacker Operator - 2nd and 3rd Shift

About the role

Works as part of the production crew with a main focus on preparing the machine for the production run, according to the customer order. This position is part of a team that helps PCA serve the needs of our customers with products and services that exceed expectations for performance and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the stencil that stamps the product with identification.
• Cleans and oils the machine daily.
• Orders pallets from the Forklift Driver, according to the schedule.
• Ensures pallets are available at the machine for finished products.
• Assists with running orders once the machine is ready, monitoring for smooth operation.
• Notifies the operator if problems arise, such as machine failure, product quality issues, or paper shortages.
• Works with management, maintenance, and other employees to resolve issues.
• Palletizes the product according to the shop card or shipping requirements.
• May feed the machine on occasion.
• Adheres to ISO procedures and follows direction from the operator.
• Works with various production machines and basic tools such as hammers and knives.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
• Must be willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

Pay

Starting salary: $24.51 per hour.

Annual bonus based on achievement of plant performance metrics.
