Correspondent Quality Auditor
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Correspondent Quality Auditor to support our mortgage lending operations by performing quality assurance reviews of correspondent loan files. This position plays a critical role in ensuring mortgage loans comply with company policies, investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-funding quality reviews of mortgage loan files to identify errors, omissions, and compliance concerns.
- Support the purchase of correspondent mortgage loans by evaluating files for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to investor, third-party, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential fraud, compliance violations, and operational risks.
- Investigate and resolve loan file discrepancies, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Verify that all required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
- Review and interpret loan information and enter required data into compliance and audit software systems.
- Ensure compliance with TRID, investor guidelines, company policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Document findings, exceptions, and recommendations clearly and accurately.
- Escalate significant compliance issues and risk concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
- Recommend process improvements and efficiency enhancements to reduce errors and strengthen quality controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely loan reviews and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the consumer mortgage lending process, including loan origination, underwriting, processing, funding, and closing.
- Understanding of mortgage loan documentation and various mortgage products.
- Experience with mortgage lending, mortgage loans, and mortgage closing processes.
- Familiarity with risk assessments and compliance reviews.
- Intermediate math skills with strong analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with investor and third-party management requirements.
- Knowledge of TRID regulations and mortgage compliance standards.
- Experience using ComplianceEase or similar mortgage compliance software.
- Prior quality control, quality assurance, auditing, or mortgage operations experience.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
