About the role
Guards prisoners in the Box Elder County Jail in accordance with established policies, regulations, and statutes while assuming responsibility for all needs of the prisoners in custody.
Requirements
- High school graduate
- Graduate of the Utah P.O.S.T. Special Function Officer Training
- Basic Correctional Officer Certified
- No criminal history or record of arrests, except for minor traffic offenses
- No record of alcohol and drug use
- Proof of certification required to receive an interview
Pay
Base pay: $31.38/hour. Lateral pay does apply.
