About the role
This is an entry-level position with primary responsibility in security, such as key room, dormitory, control center, field, trip, or gate officer. The role may involve acting independently or under general supervision.
Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
Substitutions: One year of continuous employment in any field of work will substitute for the high school diploma or GED.
Pay
Corrections Cadet pay will start at $20.50 per hour, plus a retention rate for each hour worked.
Schedule
For the first 6 weeks (paid training): Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm. After training: Monday - Friday, either 5:45am to 6:00pm or 5:45pm to 6:00am.
