Correctional Security Guard - Unarmed

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a government corrections location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, housing areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and support visitor, contractor, and staff screening processes in accordance with site protocols.
• Assist with movement control, maintain awareness of restricted areas, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding policy violations, incidents, and/or security-related concerns.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
