About the role

CoreCivic is hiring immediately for a Correctional Officer at the Central Arizona Florence Correctional Complex. The position provides security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in a secure institutional setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, during meals, recreation, work assignments, and all other phases of activity.
• Employ weapons or force as necessary to maintain discipline and order.
• Maintain order and security of inmates throughout the facility.
• Work any shift and be assigned to various posts including armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to complete any required training.
• Availability to work any hours, any shift.
• Veterans encouraged; military service may qualify for criminal justice experience requirements.
• Must comply with CoreCivic's Drug-Free Workplace policy.

Pay

$28.20 per hour
