Corporate/Transactional Attorney
About the Role
A well-established, business-focused law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate / Transactional Attorney to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with strong corporate and transactional experience who is looking for sophisticated legal work within a collaborative, collegial environment. The firm represents businesses and organizations across a variety of practice areas, including corporate transactions, bankruptcy, healthcare, commercial real estate, litigation, and mediation. Attorneys work collaboratively across practice areas to provide practical, client-focused legal solutions without the bureaucracy and layers often associated with larger firms.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality legal counsel and practical solutions to clients
- Research, draft, review, negotiate, and close complex corporate and transactional matters
- Advise clients regarding applicable laws and legal strategies li>Translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical guidance for clients
- Take ownership of matters and develop strong client relationships
- Participate in business development and contribute to growing existing client relationships
- Represent the firm at professional and community events
- Delegate work effectively to paralegals, associates, and other support staff
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to develop comprehensive solutions for clients
- Assist with special projects and other firm initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant corporate and transactional experience
- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
- Must be admitted to practice in North Carolina or eligible to obtain admission quickly
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters effectively
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach
Big law firm experience is a plus. Commercial real estate experience is a plus but is not required.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in North Carolina or eligibility for quick admission
