About the role
Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced and highly organized Corporate & Tax Legal Assistant to join its Fort Worth office. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a sophisticated corporate and tax practice. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys within the corporate and tax practice.
- Prepare, revise, compare, and proofread complex legal documents, correspondence, agreements, and transactional materials.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate client communications.
- Create, edit, and maintain professional documents utilizing advanced Microsoft Word functions.
- Prepare, organize, edit, combine, and bookmark PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat.
- Assist with spreadsheet updates, reporting, presentations, and other administrative projects.
- Maintain electronic and physical client files in an organized and confidential manner.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, and staff.
- Prioritize multiple assignments while meeting critical deadlines.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Provide additional administrative and legal support as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of law firm experience, with prior experience supporting a corporate, transactional, or tax practice preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including styles, complex formatting, document comparison, and redlining.
- Strong Adobe Acrobat skills, including PDF editing, combining, bookmarking, and document preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, including calendar management and attorney support.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including spreadsheets, tables, charts, and presentation updates.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with attorneys, staff, and clients.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, reliability, and commitment to providing outstanding support.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay starts at $30/hour, with higher compensation available based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package
Schedule & Work Arrangement
Monday through Friday, full-time schedule, standard business hours, onsite in Fort Worth, TX.
