Corporate Strategy Lead

About the role

Humana's Corporate Strategy team is a small, high-performing group that works closely with senior leadership to establish the future course for the company. In Corporate Strategy, you will identify and analyze growth opportunities and work with business leaders to prioritize options and set the long-term strategy agenda. The team has frequent interactions with Humana's CEO and regularly manages deliverables for Humana's broader Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Our team also undertakes internal consulting engagements across a wide range of topics.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic analyses and recommendations on high-priority enterprise initiatives.
• Facilitate discussions with business leaders to identify opportunities and address strategic challenges.
• Develop business cases to support investment decisions and growth initiatives.
• Translate strategic recommendations into actionable implementation plans.
• Mentor analysts and provide guidance on project execution and analytical approaches.
• Collaborate with Corporate Strategy colleagues, and contribute to a high-performing, inclusive, and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of consulting, strategy, or relevant corporate experience (i.e., strategic in nature vs. primarily operational)
• Analytical skills (e.g., quantitative analysis and research, financial modeling)
• Conceptual skills (e.g., translating ambiguous problem statements into structured frameworks, generating hypotheses independently and testing them, synthesizing complex information into digestible executive insights, managing cross-functional stakeholders)

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate from a top-tier master's program in business, health administration, or related field
• Meaningful experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking / corporate development
• Relevant healthcare experience, especially in payer industry

Location

Working locations are primarily Louisville, KY, and Arlington, VA (Washington, DC metro area); also open to candidates living in or willing to relocate to Chicago or Nashville. The Strategy team operates on a hybrid schedule with an expectation of 2 to 3 in-office days per week. Relocation assistance available. Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay

$138,900 - $191,100 per year, eligible for a bonus incentive plan based upon company and/or individual performance.
