Corporate Staff Accountant

CV Resources is partnering with a well-established and growing organization in the real estate industry to hire a Corporate Staff Accountant for its Vancouver, WA office. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a collaborative team.

About the role

This position is expected to begin on a temporary basis with the potential to convert to a permanent role. The schedule is hybrid, requiring 2 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
• Support the month-end close process
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Complete balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with financial statement preparation and review
• Maintain schedules and supporting documentation for financial reporting
• Research account discrepancies and variances
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of corporate financial data
• Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation
• Support ad hoc reporting and accounting projects as needed
• Collaborate with accounting and finance team members across the organization

Requirements

• Previous Staff Accountant or similar corporate accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
• Experience with financial reporting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Ability to understand and work with financial statements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Yardi experience is a plus
• Real estate or property management industry experience is helpful, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Collaborative, flexible, and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment

Pay
