Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist with updating safety documents, policies, and training materials
- Maintain safety training schedules and follow up on missing or incomplete records
- Process safety paperwork including incident reports and compliance documentation
- Support ongoing safety initiatives, audits, and regulatory requirements as needed
- Help with any other HR-related tasks as directed
Requirements
- Current local (North Texas) student studying in an accredited-Safety (or equivalent) higher education program and is seeking a future career in Safety
- Must be available to work in the Dallas office Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week during internship
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and be resourceful
- Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, some which may be heavily administrative in editing manuals or other record keeping activities related to safety
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times including moving and organizing files and file boxes
- The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
