Corporate Representative

Job Summary Member of the litigation team who attends mediations, depositions, hearings, and other activities as the company’s Corporate Representative. The Corporate Representative will provide complete and knowledgeable testimony on behalf of the company. This position will be expected to attend multiple depositions per week on litigated files. This will include a full review of the file, coordination with defense counsel for scheduling the deposition, and conference(s) with counsel for preparation for the deposition. Essential Functions Manage litigation files as assigned, including documenting diary systems and following company proceduresAnalyze policy coverages and claims handlingAttend and assist with negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and other meetings as requiredWork with defense counsel in preparation of testimonyPresent files to management for evaluation and reviewPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills & ExperiencePrior experience as a Corporate Representative in depositions, trial, or mediationInsurance Claims experience: First Party Property insurance claims experience a mustEffective negotiatorHave knowledge of legal procedures and practicesFlexibility to work nontraditional hoursMeet deadlines, and manage changing priorities effectivelyStrong communication skills, both verbally and in writingTime management skills Required Skills & Experience Three to five years of prior experience as a Corporate RepresentativePrior experience as a Corporate Representative in depositions, trial, or mediationInsurance Claims experience: First Party Property insurance claims experience a mustEffective negotiatorHave knowledge of legal procedures and practicesFlexibility to work nontraditional hoursMeet deadlines, and manage changing priorities effectivelyStrong communication skills, both verbally and in writingTime management skills EDUCATION & TRAINING Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of equivalent experience and education LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS 6-20 license preferred or willingness to acquire license
