Responsibilities

• Follow all aspects of the CIBC Code of Conduct as well as all applicable CIBC policies, frameworks, guidelines, processes and controls.
• Act in accordance with our Purpose and shared values, to achieve our Bank's strategic goals.
• Understand and follow the qualitative and quantitative components of our Risk Appetite Statements.
• Complete all annual Corporate Mandatory Training and Testing modules, as well as any additional business-specific modules, as required and employ the learnings in daily activities and undertakings.
• Escalate matters through appropriate channels (e.g., HR, management, Ethics Hotline, Whistleblower) upon observing activities inconsistent with CIBC's policies or that may result in adverse market practices and outcomes.
• Speak up if witnessing behaviors that drive poor or unfair outcomes for clients, team members or other stakeholders.
• Monitor and preserve the safety and security of bank employees, clients, visitors, etc.
• Be easily identifiable as the Corporate Security Protection Officer (CSPO) while blending in with the business environment, providing visual reassurance and deterring potential disruptive persons.
• Perform periodic patrols of all bank space, remaining alert for irregularities such as security breaches, access card violations, and unauthorized or suspicious persons. Challenge and restrict access to secured spaces as needed.
• Anticipate and assess spontaneous events or threats, reacting speedily and appropriately to mitigate risks, escalating use of force proportionate to the threat.
• Provide safety and security to employees, clients, guests, and visitors of the Banking Center.

Requirements

• Must have 10+ years of prior Law Enforcement experience.
• Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s).

Pay

This role has an expected salary range of $52,000.00 - $63,000.00 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may include a discretionary bonus component.
