Responsibilities
- Analyze and map current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement standardized process protocols and documentation across all manufacturing sites.
- Lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess process effectiveness and drive corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with product design and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical support and training to plant personnel to ensure consistent application of process improvements.
- Evaluate new technologies and equipment to enhance production capabilities and reduce costs.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management to communicate progress and impact of process initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the automotive Tier 1 manufacturing industry.
- Proven expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
- Experience working in a corporate or multi-site automotive manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in injection moulding machines - knowledge in building and operating injection molders.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation and Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and process simulation tools.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) in Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline.
- 70% travel requirement in NA (US, Mexico, and Canada plants).
