Job Responsibilities
- Develop process engineering deliverables (PFDs, mass and energy balances, theory of operations, P&IDs)
- Carry out process optimization studies of industrial plants, focusing on asphalt, thermal oil systems, and ISO/TPO plants
- Consult and negotiate with plant engineers to prepare specifications, explain proposals, and present engineering reports and findings
- Create, modify, and execute functional test plans of automated systems
- Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; P.Eng. is an asset
- 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and TSSA rules and regulations is an asset
- Experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) methods is an asset
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Six Sigma certification is an asset
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (must be fluent in English)
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Must have excellent planning and time management skills
- Must be able to travel across Canada and the United States
