About the role
The Alumus Corporate Paralegal role supports the Legal Department on a wide range of corporate, regulatory, transactional, governance, entity management, contract review, risk management, claims, litigation and other related matters. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to serve clinical, operational, business, corporate and executive teams, in fast-paced and heavily regulated healthcare sectors.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Legal Department on a wide range of corporate, regulatory, transactional, governance, entity management, contract review, risk management, claims, litigation and other related matters.
- Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to serve clinical, operational, business, corporate and executive teams.
- Manages multiple simultaneous time-sensitive projects.
- Applies understanding of healthcare legal and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Manages privileged and confidential information.
- Works in a fast-paced and heavily regulated healthcare sector.
Requirements
- Associates, Bachelor’s, or higher-level degree.
- 5+ years of legal services experience in a law firm or in-house legal department in relevant area(s).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Significant healthcare and/or commercial contract review experience.
- Experience in United States healthcare regulatory frameworks.
- Detail oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous time- sensitive projects.
- Team-oriented collaborative approach to client service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, and legal management systems/processes, data and record keeping.
