About the role

The Medical Science Liaison will build a deep understanding of current practices, treatment trends, and therapies within their assigned therapeutic area. By engaging with key customers, attending scientific symposia, and reviewing relevant medical literature, the liaison will provide valuable scientific insights to both internal and external stakeholders. This role is pivotal in positioning Boehringer Ingelheim Medical as a trusted partner through credible, non-promotional interactions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with key customers to gather and communicate scientific information effectively.
• Execute key medical projects, such as IIS studies, to strengthen customer engagement.
• Implement local medico-marketing strategies aligned with broader business objectives.
• Identify and engage key experts within the territory, building professional relationships.
• Support the registration of new products by delivering scientific presentations.
• Contribute to the development and review of labeling documents in line with standard operating procedures.
• Support regulatory affairs by providing access to external experts when appropriate.

Requirements

• A medical degree in Pharmacology is required.
• 4-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred.
• For professionals without a doctoral qualification, relevant field-based work experience of 10+ years is preferable.
• Scientific expertise in the Diabetes Therapy Area is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
• Basic IT knowledge of MS Office applications is required.
