Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of customer-facing and revenue-generating agreements, including SaaS agreements, Services Agreements, Statements of Work, order forms, and Non-Disclosure Agreements, as well as vendor contracts.
- Independently manage the full contract lifecycle, including redlining, negotiation, and execution of agreements.
- Partner closely with Sales and Revenue Operations teams to support deal structuring, contract negotiations, and timely deal closure.
- Provide clear, practical guidance on contract terms, including liability, indemnification, payment terms, and service levels, balancing risk with business objectives.
- Lead contract negotiations with customers, vendors, and partners, driving agreements to resolution in a timely manner.
- Support efforts to improve contract turnaround time and streamline contracting workflows to accelerate the sales cycle.
- Identify and assess legal and business risks in agreements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Assist with compliance-related matters, including data privacy and security considerations.
- Maintain organized documentation and support contract and legal record management.
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on contracting best practices.
- Support the management of outside counsel as needed for specialized legal matters.
- Assist with additional legal and business initiatives as the company continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- 2–4 years of experience in commercial contracting (law firm or in-house).
- Demonstrated ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Experience handling a high volume of contracts in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a practical and solutions-oriented manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a SaaS, fintech, or technology company.
- Familiarity with subscription-based business models.
- Exposure to data privacy and security requirements.
- Experience working with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
