Position Summary

This candidate will help manage and support the Company’s extensive real estate portfolio focusing on development projects, acquisitions, dispositions, financing and commercial leasing.

Position Responsibilities

  • Aid real estate and business leaders with negotiating and drafting: Construction contracts, Financing Agreements, Letters of Intent, Purchase and sale agreements, Leases, and other pertinent real estate documentation.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including professional services agreements and master service agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate financing documents, including credit agreements, notes, and mortgages.
  • Serve as a strategic resource for business leaders; providing insight and input on real estate contractual terms, property management issues, and current regulations.

Required Education And Experience

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, with a strong academic record with 4 to 6 years of experience as a real estate or corporate attorney.
  • Admission to a U.S. state bar with an active license, and compliance with requirements for in-house practice in the State of Illinois.
  • Strong ethical background and commitment to integrity.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties through clear communication and sound judgment.
  • Operate with a high degree of independence while collaborating effectively within the legal team.
