Corporate In-House Counsel

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify legal and compliance risks across business operations and support on internal audit and compliance review.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve the company’s risk management and compliance program, with the focus on data security, antirust compliance, and product liability and marketing.
  • Review and improve internal policies, including but not limited to Code of Conduct and compliance guidelines, to promote a strong culture of ethics and compliance across the company.

Data Privacy and Security

  • Advises the business team on the implementation and practice of consumer data privacy and data transfer laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Supports the review and update of product and company website related data protection and privacy policies.
  • Establishs data security incident response plans.

Antitrust and Competition Law

  • Advise the business team on antitrust related issues, particularly on pricing strategies implementation, to ensure legal compliance and to reduce antitrust risks.
  • Develops and delivers antitrust compliance training to the business team.

Product Compliance and Marketing

  • Maintains monitoring of regulatory development related to consumer electronics and home appliances products to ensure company products meet applicable U.S. regulatory and safety standards.
  • Reviews product labeling, manuals, warranty, and marketing materials for legal compliance.
  • Collaborates with outside counsel in response to product liability related litigations.

Commercial Contracts and Other Legal Support

  • Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide range of commercial agreements.
  • Provides day-to-day legal advice to business teams.
  • Communicates and cooperates with headquarters legal team as needed.
  • Manages and coordinates with external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Basic Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, Active U.S. bar license (Georgia preferred or ability to register in-house in Georgia), 5–10 years of relevant legal experience as an in-house counsel or in law firm, Legal experience in manufacturing, consumer electronics, or related industries is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of U.S. data privacy, security, and transfer laws at both state and federal levels, Familiarity with consumer electronics and home appliances products compliance frameworks and marketing laws, Solid experience in antitrust and competition law (pricing, distribution, channel management), Experience building or managing compliance programs is a plus.
