Corporate Giving Manager

Primary Responsibilities
- Raises $350,000 annually via all corporate giving channels with expected >6% growth in subsequent years.
- Strategically uses corporate sponsorships, corporate grant opportunities, in-kind donations, media sponsorships, workplace giving and volunteering, and more to meet BikePGH’s financial and programmatic needs.
- Maintains an understanding of all corporate giving vehicles.
- Conducts research on prospective and existing sponsors.
- Creates sponsorship proposals and engagement opportunities that will maximize ROI for corporate sponsors.
- Collaborates with relevant staff on event and organization sponsorship fulfillment.
- Tracks sponsorship deliverables and ensures fulfillment is completed to the standards of agreements.
- Oversees drafting, editing, submitting, and tracking/reporting on corporate grants.
- Buys and maintains corporate relationships through outreach and virtual/in-person visits.
- Designs and manages relationship cultivation using all BikePGH communication channels and event opportunities.
- In collaboration with Director of Development, develops the annual corporate giving budget including the expected month of receipt.
- Communicates to CFO when actuals will differ from the budget.
Education
- 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit or business development/account management, preferably with direct experience fundraising, negotiating and closing corporate giving commitments.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required (or relevant work experience with the associated responsibilities).
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience or genuine interest in community serving non-profits with a focus on active transportation, climate change, or city planning.
- Excellent communication skills across multiple disciplines and platforms, including via conversation, written communication, and public speaking.
- Solutions oriented perspective with creative problem-solving skills with the ability to align corporate giving priorities with BikePGH’s mission and existing programming.
- Self-starter, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a small, non-profit environment.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets (Word/Excel, Docs/Sheets).
- CRM database management (EveryAction, Salesforce, Blackbaud etc).
