About the role
The Corporate finance department seeks a staff member to assist with the preparation and review of financial loan/borrowing documents, including offering and bond documents, SEC documents, and related SEC filings. The role also involves assisting with preparing financial presentations for banking and lending institutions, rating agencies, and other parties. Debt administration, loan compliance obligations, interest rate forecasts, and risk management activities are additional responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation and review of debt documents such as credit agreements, offering documents, bond documents, SEC documents, and filings.
- Analyze specific financing alternatives, conduct buy vs. lease analyses, manage asset liability, and perform other financial analyses as needed.
- Prepare and develop presentations and materials for investment banks, commercial banks, lenders, rating agencies, and other parties.
- Maintain records of all financing and related activities.
- Collect and maintain economic and statistical information and produce reports as necessary.
- Handle processing of interest, principal, and lease payments.
- Manage loan contracts, including interest accruals and amortization schedules, and prepare appropriate journal entries and payment vouchers.
- Create, document, and maintain procedures for loans, leases, and other debt and related obligations, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance procedures.
- Administer the corporate card program, flowchart procedures, and back up team members as needed.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures and stay updated on relevant regulations, laws, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining safety awareness and complying with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Communicate unsafe conditions to supervisors, coworkers, and the Safety functional area and assist in resolving safety concerns and issues.
- Understand and comply with the Clearance Procedure as applicable.
- Contribute to a positive work culture by demonstrating and promoting ethics and behaviors consistent with Tri-State’s culture, Board policies, and business practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the success of the team.
Qualifications
- Education and Training: A BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of finance techniques, including amortization schedules, interest calculation, and present value; working knowledge of PCs with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to perform detailed work with high accuracy; knowledge of accounting concepts; ability to work independently.
- Experience: At least eight (8) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
