As a Corporate Trainer, you’ll help build the next generation of skilled electricians while shaping a career with one of the industry’s most respected teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the new Prism entry-level electrician apprentice course, including:
    • Detailed course curriculum and outline
    • PowerPoint presentations
    • Class activities (15+) with answer keys
    • Homework assignments with answer keys
    • Training activities
    • Pre- and post-course tests with answer keys
    • Recommended books for each class
    • Follow-up jobsite visit verification checklist to confirm learning
  • Conduct follow-up jobsite visits and productivity evaluations to ensure employees apply classroom teachings on the job.
  • Review, update, and redesign all existing course curriculum to align with current electrical standards and materials.
  • Create training programs tailored to business unit needs by gathering input from subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Organize SME knowledge into structured training modules.
  • Train SMEs on effective classroom engagement, motivation, and teaching techniques.
  • Prepare SMEs for each class to ensure proper time management.
  • Attend every training course and provide constructive feedback to improve presentation and delivery methods.
  • Administer and track class surveys for every training session.
  • Maintain and update all training materials and PowerPoints in accordance with Prism’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Monitor enrollment of new hires into accredited apprenticeship programs and ensure they enroll in the first available semester.
  • Track apprentice grades and attendance, keeping supervisors informed of student performance.
  • Hold supervisors accountable for submitting required documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison for apprentices regarding schooling, including quarterly evaluations, grade reviews, and arranging additional tutoring when needed.
