Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annually.
About the role
This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a life sciences environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with transactional work across various business lines, including drafting and negotiating agreements.
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements with healthcare providers and life sciences companies.
- Handle a variety of agreements, including clinical projects, data licenses, and vendor contracts.
- Address legal issues involving AI, intellectual property, data privacy, and healthcare technology.
- Participate in general legal work including intellectual property, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate legal risks and support business objectives.
- Adapt quickly to the fast-paced demands of the Legal Department.
Qualifications
- JD Degree.
- 4+ years of relevant healthcare transactional experience.
- Strong familiarity with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, Stark, etc.).
- Current bar membership in at least one state.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Impeccable legal judgment and risk evaluation skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
