The Corporate Counsel, Contracts will be a key member of Gallagher’s in-house legal team, working closely with business leads and other legal representatives to shape benefit strategies, design wellbeing programs, and advise on workforce challenges.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of contracts, including client contracts, partnership agreements, consulting services agreements, marketing agreements, and other agreements arising out of Gallagher’s operations.
- Ensure that all agreements accurately reflect Gallagher’s business objectives and comply with all laws and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Gallagher business leads, management, and other legal representatives on strategic initiatives affecting contracts and commercial issues.
- Provide ongoing and proactive strategic advice regarding contractual and business risks and counsel on contract interpretation and potential dispute issues.
- Identify and provide advice and counsel on a variety of legal matters related to Gallagher contracts, including IP, privacy (data security, HIPAA, GDPR), and regulatory issues.
- Collaborate with other Gallagher legal representatives in analyzing and implementing projects, including improvements on data metrics, reporting, and automation.
Requirements
- Law degree and 3 years of related experience required.
- Member in good standing of a US Bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience in contract drafting and negotiation at a law firm or in-house.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
