Corporate Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a talented and versatile in-house Corporate Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance to our management and personnel worldwide. This influential role offers a unique opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of legal areas, supporting our company's growth, innovation, and compliance on a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to senior management and other key personnel
• Manage and resolve complex legal issues related to corporate governance, compliance, and risk management
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance
• Represent the company in negotiations and litigation, both domestically and internationally
• Monitor and advise on regulatory changes affecting the company
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) with a minimum of 6 years legal experience
• Licensed attorney in good standing in Ohio or a recognized qualifying state
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities
• Effective project management skills
• Business acumen and strategic thinking

Nice to have

• In-house legal department experience
• Expertise in government contracts, intellectual property, or manufacturing industries
• Experience working with international clients
• Foreign language skills

Preferred Education and Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• At least 6 years of relevant legal experience, with a preference for in-house experience

Other Requirements

• Ability to interpret and apply laws across multiple jurisdictions
• Willingness to engage in legal training and development initiatives
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships within a global organization

Pay

$150K negotiable base plus bonus
