Corporate Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support litigation involving insurance coverage or construction claims, working with external counsel as necessary and filing liens as necessary
• Lead collection/lien enforcement and negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, subcontract agreements, and labor-related agreements, ensuring alignment with company interests and legal requirements
• Aid in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures regarding business and employment matters
• Collaborate with various departments, including finance, human resources, and operations, to assist with legal needs

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in the California State Bar required at time of start
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in construction law, insurance law, commercial litigation, real estate law, creditor-debtor law, or a related field
• Familiarity with employment law and HR-related legal matters
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to legal issues

Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm

Pay & Benefits

Salary: $180K - $200K, based on experience
