Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate contracts for software licenses, services, and software-as-a-service transactions, focusing on risk mitigation and alignment with business guidelines.
  • Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders, including sales and finance, on contractual rights, compliance, and risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize commercial transactions and support business objectives.
  • Review and advise on pre-contractual and contract collateral documents, ensuring compliance with internal approval processes.
  • Stay informed about relevant legislation and adjust contracts accordingly, addressing potential conflicts and disputes.
  • Assist in resolving customer disputes, evaluating Finastra’s position, and facilitating dispute resolution.

Requirements

  • Legal degree from an accredited institution and active law license in at least one state.
  • Experience in corporate and commercial law, particularly in the software industry.
  • Strong legal and commercial acumen, with the ability to adapt to business needs and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a global team and provide regulatory and compliance support.
  • Exposure to software licensing, technology outsourcing, SaaS/cloud, data privacy, and product compliance is advantageous.
  • Experience in banking and financial technology is considered a plus.
  • Fluency in English, including proficiency in legal terminology.
