Corporate Counsel

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. We are a company that values innovation and creativity, and we are looking for a Corporate Counsel to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal support and guidance across various aspects of our business, including corporate securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, global expansion efforts, corporate governance matters, company capitalization matters, employee equity and executive compensation programs, and creation and improvement of processes, agreements, and document templates for transactional and governance matters.
• Support the company's corporate insurance program.
• Manage external counsel.

Requirements

• 4+ years of corporate legal experience, ideally trained at a law firm specializing in venture-backed or high-growth technology companies.
• Experience supporting corporate transactions, including venture financings, secondary transactions and acquisitions.
• Fluency in equity and cap table management.
• Knowledge of AI and experience using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Glean, etc.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Commercially pragmatic approach to the law, balancing legal and business risks, and being risk-aware, not risk-averse.
• Collaborative attitude, positive outlook, and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Resourcefulness, self-motivation, and exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working internationally and adjusting to different time zones.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact confidently with investors, employees, executives, and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to operate independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with G Suite, Slack, Microsoft Word, Excel, and familiarity with board portals and subsidiary management databases.

• Strong legal knowledge and experience in corporate law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Experience with cross-border or cross-border transactions.
• Knowledge of AI and experience using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Glean, etc.

Pay

The target salary range for this position is $190,000 - $290,000.
