Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. We are seeking a talented attorney with a passion for telecommunications regulatory law to join our growing legal team and help shape the future of global connectivity.
Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
- Provide U.S. and international regulatory counsel on satellite-based broadband services
- Develop and advocate legal and policy positions across domestic and international regulatory proceedings
- Possess and partner with Amazon Leo's technical, public policy, and business teams to identify and navigate regulatory risks
- Maintain and monitor evolving regulatory landscapes and translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders
- Draft regulatory filings, policy advocacy materials, and internal legal guidance with clarity and precision
- Contribute to cross-functional strategy discussions where regulatory considerations intersect with business decisions

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in law firm practice and/or in-house legal experience
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively for stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment
- Comfort working independently while contributing to cross-functional teams
- Satellite, aerospace, or emerging technology regulatory experience is a plus but not required
