Associate Corporate Counsel, Product, Amazon Leo (Satellites / Communications)

About the role

This role will serve as product counsel for strategic initiatives related to Amazon Leo’s products and services. You will be responsible for counseling Amazon Leo’s product, marketing, engineering, compliance, and operations teams on a wide range of issues across our business.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel for strategic initiatives
• Develop flexible legal frameworks that balance risk management with business innovation
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support Amazon Leo’s expansion goals
• Create processes that enable swift product development while maintaining regulatory compliance
• Support strategic initiatives with nuanced legal guidance

Requirements

• 2+ years of post bar admission legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Qualifications

• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
• Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts
• Experience in managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Experience advising on product launches, including privacy, marketing, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Knowledge of telecommunications, satellite, or broadband regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCC, ITU, or international equivalents) a plus
• Experience counseling engineering and product teams on data privacy, consumer protection, and compliance matters in a technology-driven organization
