About the role

The Corporate Banking Group Loan Fulfillment Analyst at Regions is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end closing, funding, and booking of complex credit facilities. This role collaborates with various departments and external parties to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provides first-line risk oversight by identifying emerging risks and driving remediation efforts.
  • Serves as a subject-matter resource to Fulfillment Specialists and acts as the first escalation point for complex closing, funding, and booking issues.
  • Troubleshoots operational roadblocks and determines when further escalation is required.
  • Reviews and validates complex work, including booking set-ups, exception handling, and funding packages.
  • Approves work requiring elevated judgment, including document exceptions and high-risk operational decisions.
  • Acts as a control checkpoint to ensure policy adherence, operational accuracy, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Maintains data quality, compliance requirements, and risk indicators across assigned deals.
  • Identifies recurring issues and partners with leaders to improve processes, accuracy, and cycle time.
  • Contributes to procedure updates, training materials, workflow standards, and team skill development.
  • Represents Fulfillment in cross-functional discussions on deal structure, operational risk, and process gaps.
  • Promotes consistent application of controls and fosters a culture of operational discipline and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of commercial/syndicated loan closing, booking, or servicing experience.
  • Strong comprehension of loan documentation and closing mechanics; experience coordinating with external counsel.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (KYC/AML, flood, insurance) and agency/syndication workflows.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to own a timeline, prioritize, and resolve issues.
  • Strong risk awareness and control discipline, applying sound judgment to operational decisions, escalating issues promptly and appropriately, and maintaining audit-ready documentation that meets regulatory and internal standards.
  • Fundamental understanding of funding/booking mechanics, fee/interest set ups, and data integrity.
  • Maintains a confident client presence that is effective across senior partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with leadership on complex topics.

The pay range for this role is job-specific and serves as a market reference for compensation decisions. Factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and performance impact pay. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

  • Minimum Job Range: $77,530.00 USD
  • Median: $92,210.00 USD
