Corporate Attorney - Transactions & Regulatory

What You'll Do as the Attorney

• Advising clients on mergers and acquisitions involving insurance agencies, brokerages, and related entities
• Serving as a lead or advisor on transactional workstreams, including drafting, negotiation, and deal execution
• Providing counsel on insurance regulatory and compliance matters, such as licensing and state-level requirements
• Assisting clients with corporate governance, contracts, and operational legal needs
• Partnering closely with clients ranging from independent agencies to private equity-backed firms
• Collaborating with internal team members to deliver efficient, business-focused legal solutions
• Building trusted client relationships and contributing to long-term client success

Must-Haves as the Attorney

• JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Strong corporate transactional experience, including M&A work
• Experience working in a law firm environment
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, business-oriented mindset

Nice-to-Haves as the Attorney

• Experience with insurance regulatory or compliance matters
• Familiarity with the insurance industry, including agencies, brokerages, or insurtech
• A portable book of business (not required)
• An interest in working within a specialized, industry-focused practice
