About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Corporate Attorneys with top-tier BigLaw backgrounds to support an innovative project focused on training and improving next-generation AI systems. In this role, you'll leverage your legal expertise to evaluate complex, real-world legal materials and provide high-quality insights that help AI systems better understand legal reasoning, issue spotting, drafting, and analysis. No prior AI experience is required. Your legal expertise and professional judgment are what matter most. This opportunity is particularly well suited for attorneys with experience handling sophisticated corporate transactions, private equity matters, capital markets work, and commercial litigation.

Scope of Work

  • Review and analyze complex corporate documents, contracts, and transaction structures involving M&A, private equity, and capital markets.
  • Assess nuanced legal scenarios and provide accurate, detailed analysis to support AI model training.
  • Review commercial litigation materials and identify key legal principles, issues, and procedural considerations.
  • Evaluate legal reasoning, issue spotting, drafting strategies, and analytical approaches.
  • Annotate, categorize, and explain legal issues to support the development and refinement of high-quality legal datasets.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with U.S. legal practice.
  • Work asynchronously with project managers and reviewers to understand project guidelines, rubrics, and quality expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active license to practice law in the United States.
  • Current or recent experience — ideally within the past 3 years — at a top-tier BigLaw firm.
  • Strong background in corporate law, M&A, private equity, capital markets, or related transactional practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial litigation and/or sophisticated, high-value legal matters.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle legal and factual issues.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements and legal instruments.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Previous experience with legal data annotation, AI training, rubric-based review, or similar work is a plus, but not required.

Why Join?

  • Fully remote and designed for flexible, asynchronous work.
  • Apply your existing legal expertise to an emerging area of technology.
  • Contribute to the development of AI systems capable of sophisticated legal reasoning.
  • No technical or AI background required.
  • Competitive compensation of $140–$400/hour, depending on experience and project requirements.
