About the role
A leading AM Law 100 firm with a nationally recognized technology practice is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its team supporting emerging growth and public company clients. The ideal candidate will have broad exposure to venture capital transactions, capital markets, and public company reporting.
Responsibilities
- Advising technology and life sciences clients on venture financings and corporate governance
- Aiding with IPOs, follow-on offerings, and ongoing SEC compliance
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and investment documents
- Supporting early-stage companies through growth, M&A, and exit strategies
- Building long-term client relationships through exceptional service and responsiveness
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of general corporate law experience
- Deep familiarity with venture capital financings, public offerings, and SEC reporting
- Experience with startup and emerging company representation across growth stages
- Strong corporate governance knowledge and client counseling skills
- Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- California Bar admission or eligibility to waive in preferred
