Corporate Associate, Startup and Venture Capital Group
About the role
We are seeking mid-to-senior level corporate associates with at least three (3+) years of experience in a sophisticated corporate law practice with a focus on startup, venture capital, and emerging company representation, for our Bay Area (Mountain View or San Francisco), Seattle, or Santa Monica offices.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel to technology and life sciences companies at all stages of development.
- Represent clients in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.
- Assist with structuring and negotiating complex corporate transactions.
- Prepare and review documents, including agreements, contracts, and other legal instruments.
- Advise on regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters.
Requirements
- At least three (3+) years of experience in a sophisticated corporate law practice with a focus on startup, venture capital, and emerging company representation.
- Experience with, or affinity for, technology and/or life sciences companies.
- M&A and/or Capital Markets experience with such companies is a plus.

Pay
The anticipated range for this position is $260,000 - $390,000 depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
