About the role

Ashurst Perkins Coie, one of Fortune’s Best Places to Work, seeks a mid-level Corporate & Securities associate in its Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 7 years of transactional experience and a passion for strategic transactions and financings for companies at various stages of growth.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a wide range of corporate and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, and general corporate representation.
• Work closely with experienced practitioners on complex commercial contracting and corporate governance matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services to clients.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Illinois or able to obtain admission within six months of start date.
• Minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant transactional experience.
• Strong academic record, typically a top tier law school degree.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Skills

• Experience in corporate and securities law.
• Knowledge of financial markets and corporate finance.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay

$310,000 to $420,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
