Corporate and Compliance Counsel

About the role

This role will serve as a key legal and compliance partner to commercial and scientific teams, providing practical guidance on complex healthcare regulatory matters. The position will focus on drafting and negotiating agreements, assessing commercial arrangements, and shaping policies that support compliant business operations across the organization. It also involves advising on privacy, fraud and abuse, FDA promotional requirements, and HIPAA in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with health systems, vendors, and partners.
• Provide compliance advice to commercial and scientific teams regarding healthcare laws and industry codes.
• Assess commercial arrangements involving healthcare professionals and their compliance implications.
• Counsel on privacy matters and the application of privacy laws to business processes.
• Develop and implement policies for healthcare and privacy law compliance.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active state bar admission.
• 8+ years of relevant legal and compliance experience at a law firm or in-house.
• Healthcare industry experience required, including medical device, pharma, or life sciences.
• Combination of major law firm and in-house experience, including substantial healthcare regulatory counseling and commercial contracting.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance, including fraud and abuse laws, FDA promotional requirements, and HIPAA.

$225,000 – $265,000 annually
