Corporate Accounting Manager

About the role

The Corporate Accounting Manager will support and strengthen accounting operations within a dynamic manufacturing and consumer products environment. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this role will lead key close and reporting processes while partnering cross-functionally with plant operations, finance, and corporate leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages for leadership
  • Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances while providing actionable insights to business partners and leadership teams
  • Partner closely with plant accounting and operations teams on inventory accounting, manufacturing performance, and cost accounting activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on close efficiency, reporting accuracy, and internal controls
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain accounting policies and procedures in alignment with US GAAP and organizational standards
  • Ensure consistency across multiple entities, manufacturing locations, and financial systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, IT, Commercial, and Finance teams on process improvements and system enhancement initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering accountability and continuous improvement
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on operational excellence
  • Support external audit processes, compliance initiatives, and parent company reporting requirements
  • Aid in special projects, operational analysis, and evolving business initiatives as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • CPA designation strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting controls, and financial reporting best practices
  • ERP system experience required; SAP experience strongly preferred

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead teams while remaining hands-on and detail-oriented when necessary
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership abilities
  • High sense of accountability, urgency, and ownership
  • Food manufacturing or CPG industry experience preferred
