About The Role
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to lead our payroll accounting function. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee end-to-end payroll accounting operations, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements across a complex, multi-entity environment. You’ll partner closely with HR, Finance, and external auditors while managing and developing a high-performing team. What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end payroll accounting operations, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, payroll tax laws, and regulatory requirements
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of payroll accounting professionals
- Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes related to payroll
- Partner with HR, Finance, and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and audit readiness
- Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency across payroll and accounting workflows
- Support and lead system implementations, upgrades, and process redesigns (e.g., UKG, ADP, Workday)
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain strong internal controls across multiple entities and jurisdictions
What You Bring
- 8+ years of payroll or payroll accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems (UKG, ADP, Workday, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Experience working in large, complex, or multi-entity environments
- Proven ability to lead teams, meet deadlines, and drive process improvements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive information
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Experience with system implementations or large-scale process redesigns
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar certification
