Position Summary

The Corporate Accounting Manager plays a key leadership role within the Finance and Accounting team, supporting the Director of Accounting and Reporting in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, strengthening internal controls, and driving process improvements.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of general ledger operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.

  • Maintain and enhance internal control procedures. Support audit readiness and assist in coordination with external auditors during annual audits.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen financial systems.

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with Operations, Sales, and other departments to support financial decision making and ensure accurate financial data.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.

  • Proficient with Netsuite ERP.

  • Advanced Excel skills, proficient in other Microsoft Office programs.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy.

  • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred).

  • 4 – 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting.

  • Must be authorized to work within the United States.
