The Corporate Accountant role is based in the United States and involves managing core accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Manage core accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all financial processes.
  2. Prepare and monitor invoicing cycles, aging reports, collections support, vendor payments, contractor invoices, and expense processing workflows.
  3. Perform monthly reconciliations including bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and A/R and A/P alignment with the general ledger.
  4. Record journal entries such as payroll accruals, prepaids, and other adjustments while ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies.
  5. Support monthly financial reporting, forecasts review, audit preparation, and leadership reporting packages.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of core accounting principles, including A/R, A/P, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
  • Proficiency in accounting tools and systems such as QuickBooks and financial platforms for invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle client, vendor, and contractor interactions professionally.
  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and ownership mindset in managing financial tasks and identifying process improvements.
  • Ability to work remotely within the U.S., with eligibility considerations excluding certain states, and willingness to participate in occasional in-person meetings in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
